AIMS & SCOPE

International Journal of Natural Product Science (IJNPS) is a peer reviewed online journal with aim to provide information on latest research trends in the all aspects of medicinal plant and natural product research. Our continuous efforts are to publish articles rapidly.

IJNPS focuses on all areas of natural product research including purification, isolation, structure elucidation, synthesis, and bioactivity studies of compounds of natural origin.

 The Journal publishes original research papers, review article and technical notes with the understanding that the research work has not been published in any form and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. The author(s) will confirm it by stating it in the covering letter.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

COVERING LETTER

All manuscript must accompany a covering letter from corresponding author. Covering Letter must have information regarding the scope of the submitted article potential conflict of interest and a statement certifying that the paper is prepared according to the 'Instructions for Authors'.

MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION

The Manuscript must be written in English. All pages must be numbered in the footer with Arabic numerals with centre as formatting.

MANUSCRIPT SECTIONS

Each manuscript should have following sections Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion or Results and Discussion, Acknowledgements, References Figure and Tables should be appropriately included in the text. Title page, abstract and main text must begin on separate page

Tables & Figure should be self-contained and do not duplicate the information contained in the text. Tables should be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals e.g. Table 1. The table and its legend/footnotes should be understandable without reference to the text.

Figures should also be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals e.g. Fig. 1. Its legends should be self explanatory.

Greek Symbols and special characters must be inserted as symbols to avoid any ambiguity or loss of information.

Use of animals in research: When animals are used for experimental purposes, authors should indicate that the institutional and national guide for the care and use of laboratory animals was followed.

TITLE PAGE

Title page should include paper title, author(s) full name and affiliation, corresponding author(s) names complete affiliation/address, along with phone, fax and email.

The title should be precise and brief

Manuscript Title: Top of paper, Times New Roman; Fonts all caps, bold, 14 points.

Author Names: Last name, followed by initials, corresponding author of the manuscript must be marked with an asterisk

Authors should also provide a short ‘running title’.

ABSTRACT

The abstract should not exceed 200words. The use of abbreviations should be minimum & references should not be cited in the abstract.

KEYWORDS

Four keywords must be provided in alphabetical order.

ABBREVIATIONS

If abbreviations are used in the text they should be defined in the text where first used,

CONFLICT OF INTEREST

Authors must disclose all financial and personal relationships that might bias their work. To prevent ambiguity, authors must state explicitly whether potential conflicts do or do not exist.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Please acknowledge source(s) of funding for the study.

REFERENCES

All references should be numbered sequentially [in square brackets] in the text and listed in the same numerical order in the reference section. The reference numbers must be finalized and the bibliography must be fully formatted before submission. For article with more than three authors use et al. after third author.

MANUSCRIPT PROCESSING FEES

Once the paper is accepted for publication, the author will receive an electronic invoice by email and nominal processing fee will be charged.

REVIEWING

All manuscripts submitted will be peer-reviewed, usually in consultation with Editorial Advisory Board and a number of external referees. Authors may also, provide contact details (including e-mail addresses) of four potential peer reviewers for their paper. The reviewer suggested by author should not be from same institution.

PROOF CORRECTIONS

Corresponding Author will receive PDF version of their manuscript for proof reading after acceptance of the article. Proofs should be checked for typographical errors and returned within 48 hours. Major changes are not acceptable at the proof stage. The corresponding author will be solely responsible for ensuring that revised version has consent of all the authors and it must reach editorial office within stipulated time.
