Microbiology and its applications as well as significance are increasing with more advancement and development in the field. These areas of application are diverse from healthcare, food, industrial, waste management etc. These applications have huge social impact and improve life on earth tremendously.

In this issue we are publishing articles relevant to human health relevance keeping in view the increase in antimicrobial resistance, animal health, and environmental importance. Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus strains (MRSA) have become increasingly prevalent as nosocomial pathogens, especially in burn wounds. It is important to develop various strategies to control occurrence and spread of nosocomial infections. We hope that the article on MRSA will be of huge clinical significance to researchers and medical professionals.
We are also happy to share with our readers is that the response to the journal is tremendous and we thank you all for your support.

Sincerely
