EDITORIAL

Henna -Lawsonia inermis has been part of Indian culture and has been used cosmetically and as well as medicinally. All parts of the plant has been used in traditional medicine to treat variety of ailments such as rheumatoid arthritis, headache, ulcers, diarrhea etc. It is rich in lawsone, gallic acid, resins, alkaloids.

Various extracts has been known to possess anti-diabetic activity, Immuno-modulatory activity, hepato protective activity, anti-oxidant effect, anti-microbial activity and cytotoxic activity. HepG2 cell lines represent hepato-carcinoma, here we publish bioactivity of Lawsonia inermis leaves extract on HepG2 cell lines.

We hope the article will be of huge significance to researchers and will put new light on bioactivities on Lawsonia inermis.
