EDITORIAL

We are excited to bring new issue of International Journal of Natural Product Science with wide range of research articles and that of significant importance.
Finding a sustainable and economical treatment for diabetes is a challenge for research community. To meet this challenge, colossal amount of intellectual and financial inputs are invested but still there is long way to go. In this issue a research articles covers, hypoglycaemic activity of traditionally used herbal tea.
Roots of Zyziphus are known to possess astringent bitter, anthelmintic, digestive and antiseptic compounds. These are useful in hyperacidity, ascaris infection, stomachalgia and healing of wounds. One review article gives details on medicinal aspects of Zyziphys oenoplia Mill and Zyziphus mauritiana Lam.
It is important for all medicinal products especially of herbal origin to have proper and accurate control of starting material and authentication of starting material is of prime importance. As even very minor variations in sp. can have drastic effect on the medicinal outcome of the material.
