Plants and herbs are used for treatment of various human sufferings and diseases since ancient times. Ayurveda is a traditional system of medicine native to India. The Suśruta Saṃhitā and the Caraka Saṃhitā are great encyclopedias depicting fundamentals of Ayurveda. It stresses on use of plant based medicine. In Traditional Chinese Medicine plant elements and extracts are major part of the disease treatment.
With advancement in isolation and purification techniques a large number of bioactive compounds have been isolated from the natural resources. These bioactive compounds have significantly improved course of the treatment for various disease from fever to cancer, indicating wide range of applicability of bioactive compounds. Global scientific community has realized immense therapeutic potential of bioactive compounds from natural resources. Keeping it in view, colossal amount of scientific efforts and funds are put into Natural Product Research by governments of many countries.
To provide knowledge sharing platform to Natural Product researchers, we plan to launch International Journal of Natural Product Science (IJNPS).
International Journal of Natural Product Science is a peer reviewed online journal with aim to provide information on latest research trends in the all aspects of medicinal plant and natural product research. Our continuous efforts are to publish articles rapidly.
IJNPS focuses on all areas of natural product research including purification, isolation, structure elucidation, synthesis, and bioactivity studies of compounds of natural origin.
We appeal to the entire scientific community to publish their research work with us and contribute in our efforts of spreading scientific information openly.
Sincerely
Rajesh Sehgal, PhD
