Nanotechnology is a boom to science and technology and been establishing at a tremendous rate in modern era. The specific advantage include superior pharmacology, reduced toxicity, and targeting capability, unique size-dependent properties of nanosystem offers excellent opportunities for the development of novel devices and therapeutics tools. Targeting several molecular mechanisms, for either treatment, prevention of difficult-to-treat diseases for the design of the various nanotechnology based drug delivery systems is one of prime focus of the formulation scientist at the present juncture e.g., nanotechnological adjuvant have been evaluated for their capabilities to deliver vaccine subunits without compromising the immunogenicity. The pharmacokinetic profile of the drug substance has been greatly modified by incorporation in nano drug delivery system which provides Sufficient and efficient concentrations at target site without causing unwanted irreversible injury to healthy tissue/cell. New imaging agents, multifunctional , targeted devices capable of bypassing biological barriers to deliver therapeutic agents directly to cells and tissues involved in cancer growth and metastasis , monitor predictive molecular changes allowing preventive action against precancerous cells., and minimizing cost and side effects. Potential therapeutic application of novel metal NPs (nano particles) represents an attractive platform for cancer therapy in a wide variety of targets. Novel metal nanoparticles have shown to be powerful tools against cancer although optimization and characterization for full understanding of their whole potential is needed.
